Fresh Atlantic Salmon, not farm raised…sesame and ginger glaze. Bon Appetite!

(via )

It’s yum, I purchased this vodka when I was doing sales calls on Thursday. Apparently it has 30-40% less calories than regular vodka. I went for the pear/vanilla flavored one, I love my pear & thyme tinis! Cheers!

… Way more vanilla than pear, be wear.

45 day aged steaks, yum. From a Butcher in Avon CT.

Birthday Firsts

Today we are celebrating our son’s 2nd birthday, and not only that, but it’s the first birthday with other children…This makes me slightly, nervous.  His two best girl friends from day care are coming, with their parents.  It almost feels like a test, a test of parenting and mothering, and your household.  I’ve cleaned, freshened, rid of the dieing Christmas tree and put up all the banners for birthday celebrations.  I probably shouldn’t be so worried, but it does feel kind of like a test when other parents come into the picture, I wonder if they are feeling the same way?

I’ve got all the cupcakes baked, all the butter cream made, and of course, a lovely bottle of South African Chenin Blanc.  As a wine importer, we have lots of wine in the house, and there will be wine and champagne served at the party.  I hope these parents are not the sort that don’t drink…ugggh boring, live a little!

One more stepping stone down the path of being a parent, it feels almost as if we are graduating to the next parenting tier, I wonder what next year’s party will be like!

Cheers, a vous sante, baie geluk vir jars daag, and Happy Birthday to my son.

I can’t get enough of these….

Ironing board with a cup holder

I love ironing, when we used to work on yachts, my favorite job was to starch and press the table linens, I would always watch “Remains of the Day,” it just seemed so fitting.

Wine should only age in it’s bottle, not in your glass.
